About

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Abigail has spent over the last decade in Philadelphia after graduating from Drexel University. With a diverse background— ranging from set and production design, commercial interior design, furniture sales, and residential interior design—she can handle any project you throw her way.  When making the decision to start Abigail Shapansky Interior Design, there was a lot of intention is creating a brand that boldly brought spaces to life. Similarly to the way she designs spaces, Abby wanted to evoke feelings of collected pieces layered in time that come together to tell a story. Bringing spaces to life, either house or hotel, is an intimate journey and Abby wants her clients to understand who she is. Within her logo is the name of her two children, the street name of the home where she started a family, her favorite kind of houses to renovate, and design mantra. The goal is to intrigue those who come across it and inspire potential clients to look inwards for inspiration into their own spaces. All the feelings that come about when entering those magical, perfectly imperfect, lived in spaces.

Currently, Abigail can be found splitting her time between Philadelphia and NYC doing what she loves: creating spaces that are both functional and beautiful. When not working, she can be found spending time down the shore or hitting the ski slopes with her husband and two kids.
